Assistant Coach Shea Swoboda
Entering her first season with the Indiana State women’s soccer program is assistant coach Shea Swoboda.
Swoboda joins the Sycamore program from the University of Missouri, where she spent the 2001-04 seasons as a soccer student-athlete and the 2004-05 season on the women’s basketball team.
Following collegiate play, Swoboda trained with the New South Wales Institute of Sport in Australia.
Last year, she worked as a youth soccer coach with the Missouri Athletic Center, where she organized and coached training sessions for youth teams ages, 6-12.
Swoboda has also spent the past two years as head coach of the Lou Fusz Soccer Club for the U-13 Girls team.
In previous years, she has worked for soccer camps at Santa Clara, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Stanford, and Missouri.
She was a two-time team captain in women’s soccer at Missouri and was named a Strength and Conditioning All-American. In addition, Swoboda was a member of the U-23 National Championship team, J.B. Marine and was the 2001 Kansas City Star Scholar Athlete Of The Year.
Swoboda is a 2006 graduate of Missouri.
